Training and courses
Since 2002 we have been providing training to colleagues that work within control room environments. This has varied from being on a one-to-one basis, to teaching in a classroom for groups. Our training inputs became a regular feature of the control room courses whilst we served within the Police.
We have now developed our own training packages for the private sector. We are able to tailor these to deliver specific training to meet the specific needs of our clients. For those that want a general control room awareness we have created 3 modules that we can deliver to cover the different key functions that we believe are most important for event control rooms. |
Our training packages
Module 1 Introduction to Control Rooms 1 day course This input gives the attendees an understanding of the function that a control room undertakes. It will give the basic starting block for those that have no previous knowledge, or very limited awareness of what control rooms are there to provide. The content includes command, control and communication, suitable locations to use, layout, equipment, staffing, communication, incidents and the flow of information. |
Module 2 Radio Operators for Event Control Rooms 1 day course This is very focussed on developing skills of those that have had some basic control room awareness, or specifically want to train and develop to undertake the role of a radio operator or loggist within a control room environment.
